First of all, don’t panic.  🙂

This is just the latest change in Google’s search algorithm, and while we don’t want to spread fear in the hearts of our customers, we do want you to know that this is a BIG change!

Basically, what has happened is that Google has re-written their rules to say that if an individual is on their tablet or smart phone, and searches for a thing,  the search results they get served will be FIRST and foremost, any site that is written to be mobile-friendly.

Basically, if you have a website that is not written to resize, realign and change to look and work well on a smart phone, then it’s possible your previous first-page ranking *could* go out the window. You might find yourself on page 5 all of a sudden!

The only solution at this point is to have us do a Responsive (that means that your site would respond to smaller mobile browsers appropriately) conversion on your site. It doesn’t matter if your site is on WordPress or hand-coded the old fashioned way. Get in touch with us and find out what would be involved with getting your site updated to be Responsive, and that way you’ll keep Google (and all those mobile users out there) much happier.
