Why do I need an SSL Certificate? I’m not selling anything…
February 18, 2022Recently, Google has started rolling out 2-factor authentication for all GMAIL accounts. This is being pushed out without any opt-in by users because they believe it to be stronger protection against your email account getting hacked. In truth, this actually is a really good idea.
However, some of our hosting clients noted that while their Outlook works fine with their Lions Mane hosted emails, their GMAILS wouldn’t come through as Outlooks keeps prompting them for their password, even though it’s correct!
The solution is to disable 2-factor authentication within the GMAIL settings. We don’t particularly recommend doing that, but if that little pop-up is driving you nuts, then this might be a workaround until Microsoft can fix the issue within Outlook.
